Turn property evidence into informed decisions.
As an EPC Assessor at Cucumber Eco, you’ll visit homes, assess their energy performance and provide the evidence that helps our advisors guide customers. The role combines EPC assessments and lodgement with airtightness testing and U-value testing, supporting a clearer understanding of each property.
This is a field-based role covering England and Wales. Travel and overnight stays will be part of the work where needed. A company vehicle is provided, and work-related fuel and accommodation are covered.
What you’ll be doing
- Visit homes across England and Wales to carry out domestic EPC assessments and gather accurate property information.
- Record observations, measurements and supporting evidence clearly, keeping assessment records complete and organised.
- Carry out airtightness testing using the training and kit provided, and undertake U-value testing as part of the property assessment work.
- Prepare and lodge EPCs using the assessment findings and relevant supporting evidence.
- Assist the Energy Performance Advisor by explaining assessment findings and the property information behind recommendations.
- Communicate professionally with customers, coordinate site visits and take care of the company vehicle and testing equipment.
What you’ll bring
- A Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) licence.
- City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Domestic Energy Assessment.
- A careful approach to property inspections, evidence collection and accurate assessment records.
- Clear communication with customers and the ability to explain findings to our Energy Performance Advisors.
- The ability to travel for work across England and Wales and stay away when required.
Please include your DEA licence and City & Guilds Level 3 qualification details in your application. Tell us about your assessment work and any testing experience you have. Airtightness test training and kit are provided as part of the role.
What’s on offer
You’ll receive £35,000 per annum, a company vehicle and covered work-related fuel and accommodation. We provide airtightness test training and the kit needed for that testing, helping you develop this part of your assessment work while supporting our Energy Performance Advisors and customers.
