Design better heating. Support it through delivery.
Join Cucumber Eco as a Heat Pump System Designer and take a design from property information through to a clear plan for the engineer. You’ll bring technical knowledge and practical experience to systems designed around each home, staying involved in coordination and customer aftercare.

- Design domestic heat pump systems using the available property and survey information, with clear calculations, specifications and design records.
- Consider heat loss, system sizing, heat emitters, hot water requirements and controls when developing each design.
- Coordinate with the heat pump engineer so the design is understood and practical installation questions are resolved.
- Review any changes with the delivery team and keep design information accurate as a project progresses.
- Provide customer aftercare, explain how the system should operate and work with the engineer to investigate performance or operating queries.
What you’ll bring
- At least three years’ experience in heat pump system design.
- Gas Safety qualification.
- Level 3 Plumbing and Heating qualification.
- Level 3 Air Source Heat Pump qualification covering commissioning, maintenance and design.
- The ability to communicate technical information clearly to engineers, colleagues and customers.
- Careful, organised working and the ability to work from our Kimada House office in Urmston, Manchester.
Please include your relevant qualifications and examples of heat pump systems you have designed. Tell us about your involvement in design calculations, coordination with installers and resolving customer aftercare queries. A minimum of three years’ heat pump design experience is required.
